What can I expect when I visit the Pantry?

The Pantry has changed its format since the outbreak of Covid 19.  We are now a drive through pantry and we are open twice a month to Gorham residents.  Our Pantry respects your privacy and acknowledges how difficult it can be to ask for assistance.  After showing proof of residency and completing our client intake form on your first visit, you will sign in confidentially in your car and we will ask for your preferences and will deliver the bags of food items to you in your car. You always will find a variety of choices, including canned goods, dry goods, fresh produce, frozen meats, breads, and basic toiletries and household items.  We strive to provide our clients with many healthy food and meal options.

Who are Gorham Food Pantry clients?

The face of hunger is ever changing.  Our clients include single people, couples, parents with young children, large families, senior citizens, men, women, young and old, those struggling to get by on fixed incomes, the unemployed or under-employed, veterans, the sick and handicapped who cannot work, as well as individuals who just can’t make ends meet.  All our clients have one thing in common; they are hungry or face some hunger challenges in their lives.

CONFIDENTIALITY:  Please understand we need to collect some personal information on our client intake form for funding purposes.  We depend on you to be truthful.  Please be as accurate as possible with the information you provide.  Periodically, we may ask you to update this information, in order to keep our records accurate.  We will keep your information private and safe.  We ask you to respect other clients’ privacy by following the Confidential Sign-In procedure.
